Associate Marriage and Family Therapist

Welcome! My name is Laurel Salmon and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working under the supervision of Susan Levin, LMFT47760.
I completed my two-year accredited master’s degree program at Antioch University, Los Angeles after attending Loyola Marymount University for my undergraduate study. Utilizing an integrative approach of CBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic perspectives, I provide therapy through a holistic lens, aiming to see my clients from a full picture rather than just their symptomatology. I work primarily with adolescents and young adults to treat clinical issues including anxiety, depression, life transitions, relationships, unprocessed childhood trauma, identity, & self-esteem.
I am passionate about helping people and believe that therapy is for everyone. Using warmth and compassion, I strive to create a safe environment where my clients feel comfortable sharing their innermost thoughts and feelings. My goal is to foster an authentic connection that enables my clients to trust themselves to make the best decisions for their own lives.
I facilitate the therapeutic process by asking thought provoking questions as well as engaging in active listening so that my clients feel both validated as well as challenged. This is how I believe change occurs. Through curiosity, determination, and patience, I help my clients to become the best version of themselves.
